About
Haoran.
Game designer working on systems, levels and narrative — with a soft spot for machines that learn too much.
Haoran Liu is a game designer working across analogue and digital projects. His work starts from a question rather than a genre — what an AI does to the people it replaces, whether a copy of a mind is still the same person, what is left of someone after death — and then builds the mechanics that ask it. Recent projects include AI Factory, a six-player social-deduction board game about an AI learning its coworkers' skills; Echo of Consciousness, a first-person Unity puzzle game published on itch.io; and mGforce, a speedrun game made at NYU Tisch's summer programme. His level-design work includes a whitebox of a Rainbow Six Siege-style map built in Unreal Engine. He is applying to game design programmes for 2026 and is open to internships in systems, level and narrative design.
